Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 24, 2026  ·  Last updated: June 26, 2026

OpenAd is built to help you use your phone more intentionally, so privacy is central to how it works. The app has no account and no server of ours — your Screen Time and app-selection data stay on your device. The app shows rewarded ads through third-party advertising partners, which collect limited device data to serve them (details below).

This Privacy Policy explains what information the OpenAd app (the "App", "we", "us") handles and the choices you have. The App is operated by Seven Agent Studios LLC ("the developer"). By using the App you agree to this Policy and to our Terms of Service.

1. Summary

2. Information we handle

a. Screen Time & app-selection data (on-device only)

The App uses Apple's Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks. The apps, categories, and websites you choose to gate — and the on-device activity that triggers a shield — are represented by opaque tokens Apple keeps on your device. This is stored only in a private, on-device App Group container. It is never sent to our servers (we have none) and is never shared with advertisers or any third party, consistent with Apple's App Store Review Guideline 5.1.2.

b. Usage stats (on-device only)

The App keeps simple counters — such as the number of unlocks and ads watched — to show you on the dashboard. These never leave your device and are deleted when you delete the App.

c. Advertising data

Rewarded ads are delivered by third-party advertising partners. OpenAd currently uses Liftoff Monetize (Vungle), and we may add or change advertising partners (such as other rewarded-ad networks) over time. To serve and measure ads, an ad partner's SDK may collect limited information such as device identifiers, IP address, coarse location, and ad-interaction data, as described in that partner's privacy policy. We never provide ad partners with your Screen Time or app-selection data.

Depending on your choice in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, these ads may be personalized or non-personalized. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Ads are also attributed using Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork.

d. Diagnostics & analytics

To understand how the App is used and to fix bugs, OpenAd uses PostHog product analytics. PostHog records in-app events — such as app opens, screens viewed, and actions you take (for example, watching an ad or enabling reminders) — together with an app-generated anonymous identifier and basic device and app information (such as device model, OS version, and app version). This data is not linked to your real-world identity, is not used to track you across other apps or websites, and never includes your Screen Time or app-selection data. We use it only to improve the App. PostHog processes this data on our behalf; see posthog.com/privacy.

3. Third parties

PostHogProduct analytics (app usage) posthog.com/privacy

We may add or replace advertising, analytics, or infrastructure providers as the App evolves; this list and Policy will be updated accordingly.

4. Data retention & deletion

Because all app data lives only on your device, deleting the App permanently removes it. There is no account or server-side copy to request deletion of. If we later add optional accounts, we will provide a way to delete any account data.

5. Children's privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

6. Future features & accounts

OpenAd may evolve over time. We may, in the future, introduce optional features such as accounts or syncing your stats across devices, additional advertising or analytics partners, or other capabilities. If and when we do, we will update this Policy to describe how any new data is handled before those features collect it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights regarding personal data. Because we hold no personal data about you on any server, most concerns are addressed simply by the on-device, no-account design. For questions, contact us below.

8. Changes to this Policy and our Terms

We may update this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service at any time, including as the App's features, advertising partners, or capabilities change. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy and Terms.
